Nancy D. Gross, President

As the founder of ZIA Wellness, Nancy has combined over thirty years of experience in the wellness field to create programs that can teach anyone to manage their own physical, mental, spiritual and social wellness regardless of age.

Believing in the future of what she calls “wellness self-management,” Nancy has studied Eastern mind-body-spirit philosophies and current Integrated medical disciplines. The result was creating comprehensive institute-style wellness programs tailored to teenagers and women that guides an individual to benchmark their wellness for the rest of their life. Taking personal responsibility and action is a must with the increased costs of health care and the predicted increases in longevity.

Nancy’s educational background includes a BS in Food & Nutrition from the University of Maine and an MS in Food & Nutrition, Minor in Education from Boston University, completion of a Dietetic Internship at Aetna Life & Casualty. Nancy’s diverse career as a Registered Dietitian involved Clinical and Administrative positions in Medical Centers, teaching nutrition and coordinating clinical experiences for Louisiana Tech University, Nutrition Consultant Services for School Nutrition Programs, Group Home Facilities, and the Professional Center for Child Development Early Intervention Program, Diabetes Education Specialist at Joslin Clinic and New England Deaconess Hospital, Program Director of an Optifast program at Willis Knighton Medical Center. She created and operated Nancy’s Grosseries ,Inc. and Sweetbriar Restaurant.  She attended numerous conferences and courses on wellness and nutrition throughout her career. She is a Certified Water Aerobics Instructor, Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT200 and National Wellness Institute - Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS). She continues to pursue knowledge in Maharishi Ayur-Veda, a holistic system of health.
